The main road through Filkins is frequently a single track road between the bridge and the Old Bake House. Parked cars nose to tail are frequently there as there is insuficient other parking to accommodate residents, the village hall, the Five Alls and visitors. The situation of parking needs to be addressed so that everyone can enjoy their lovely village.

The main road (B4477) between Broughton Poggs and Filkins is dangerous for pedestrians. The footpath is very narrow, almost impossible for wheelchairs as it is frequently in very poor condition. The rod is quite narrow and passing lorries are very close to the pavement. Cars frequently speed between the bridge and the A361 junction, therefore, I would like to see a 20mph speed limit, enforced, in this part of the road.
