The main road (B4477) between Broughton Poggs and Filkins is dangerous for pedestrians. The footpath is very narrow, almost impossible for wheelchairs as it is frequently in very poor condition. The rod is quite narrow and passing lorries are very close to the pavement. Cars frequently speed between the bridge and the A361 junction, therefore, I would like to see a 20mph speed limit, enforced, in this part of the road.

I very much agree that this stretch of the B4477 is dangerous for pedestrians.
B.P. residents want to be able to walk into Filkins and feel safe doing so.
Could the pavement be kept swept and made even? It is low and it is difficult to tell where it ends and the road begins because of debris buildup against the kerb and on the path. A broad white line along the edge of the road would make drivers more aware.
In short the dangerous driving and the narrow low uneven pavement along this short stretch isolate B.P. residents. It feels like it is an accident waiting to happen.
