Saw something on TV yesterday where a community were sharing cooking e.g. rather than cook baked potatoes for me, I'll fill my oven and share with the community. Might take some organising but would help with current cost of living crisis.

And now for the Big Discussion!
This is where everyone who lives and/or works in Filkins & Broughton Poggs can join in the discussion. Please choose the most relevant category, and post any idea or thought you have, and of course read (and comment freely on) everyone else's posts. Above all come back often.
Each category is looked after by a member of the CLP steering group, so watch for their posts and comments which will help us edge towards a successful Community Led Plan.
And, if you've signed up as 'unknown member', please change your profile so your name shows... It is so much more friendly to know who one is talking to!

When I lived in Northamptonshire in the early '70s, I was Parish Clerk to Wilby Parish Council. The PC chairman was the village baker, Charles Partidge, and he habitually cooked Sunday lunches for villagers in his bread ovens.
Charles Partridge wrote, in the 1940s, a poem about Wilby. Here's a verse that could be about us:
And so today our village stands,
And though its face has altered,
For upwards of 1000 years,
Its spirit ne'er has faltered!
And if we are to keep its spirit from faltering, we need a Community Led Plan, including ideas like yours, to help us into a happy future.
