Even over its relatively short life, the Community Lunch certainly won friends, and well done to those who organised it.
Since, presumably, it is the community element (rather than the lunch element) which is of particular value... Supposing we invited the excellent Cotswold Chippy to pitch up at our Village Hall once every two months at lunch time, and we eat fish and chips (or pie or whatever) together in the hall? We could bring pudding to share if we cared to, and (of course!) drink wine, coffee etc.
Easier to organise than a full cooked lunch, the Cotswold Chippy is great quality, and we would get to see each other as before...
(ps: in any event, do keep visiting the Cotswold Chippy in the CWW carpark from 5.30 to 7.30pm on the last Monday of every month!)
In principle a good idea. Would they be able to serve the quantity needed in order for our community to eat together?
